“Now we can say what’s a good or fast jump rope: one that’s lightweight, has a small diameter and is short” and smooth, Aristoff said. “That gives you the lowest drag and highest speed.”

NYC Jumpers — The Bedford Stuyvesant Food and Family Day in Bed-Stuy on Saturday, October 1st from 9:30am til 4pm would L-O-V-E to get some folks jumping. Can anyone bring their ropes and get the crowd moving? You don’t have to be an expert or a teacher or even an experienced jumper, they just need folks to jump around! You can DOooooo IT!
It’s a free event, with FREE LUNCH and all sorts of awesome community learning fun. Check it out!

Join the Coalition for the Improvement of Bedford Stuyvesant (CIBS) in partnership with Council Member Albert Vann and the Brooklyn Community Foundation for an all-day event that will bring together local residents, food justice advocates, urban farmers and gardeners, local businesses, schools, educators and community organizations to examine wellness and access to healthy foods in Bed-Stuy. Thursday, July 14th at the Downtown LA Art Walk. Meetup at 9:30pm near the food trucks.
Friday, July 15th jump at the historic Crenshaw Wall at Noon.
Saturday, July 16th get in the ropes at Pan Pacific Park with the LA Double Dutch Meetup Group. Ropes start going at 11am in the parking lot.

It’s summer—— get your double dutch on!
Get to jumping in Los Angeles. Join DDE and the LA Double Dutch Meetup group at Pan Pacific Park, just off Beverly and Fairfax, at 11am EVERY SATURDAY!
Jumping will happen in the parking lot in front of the playground.
Here is a video of DDE jumping in June at the Silverlake Farmer’s Market. Excellent times.
Starting on Wednesday, June 15th join DDE trained jumpers in Seattle to get your double dutch on. 6pm at Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill. Meet by the bathrooms, just behind the soccer field where the concrete is, and get to jumping with Paula, Flatchested Mama, Dan, Carla and friends. They’ll provide ropes and lessons for everyone Hopefully the double dutch heartthrobs, aka Flattop and Toby, will jump too!
